NET*Working 2000 was an exciting festival and expo, held online between the 1st and 14th 2000. Its theme was 'putting people first in e-learning' and it was managed by the NSW Department of Education and Training in partnership with Canberra Institute of Technology, as part of the Australian Flexible Learning Framework in VET 2000 to 2004.

Over 2,100 teachers, trainers, managers and learning support staff from the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector went online. With nearly two million hits to the website over the two week festival and expo, NET*Working 2000 was the biggest online conference ever hosted by Australia.

This post conference site provides you with the summaries and papers from the festival and expo.

There were of course many other highlights to the festival and expo. The Sideshow Alley and notorious Lounge Lizard attracted many participants, as did the Coffee Lounge, Melbourne Cup Sweep and The Virtual Sailing Trip. These areas were interactive, with forums, web pages and chats, and can no longer be accessed.
